About Roger N. Baldwin Medal of Liberty

The Roger N. Baldwin Medal of Liberty was established in honor of the principal founder of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The NGO Human Rights First gives every other (usually even) year the award to a human rights organization or defender outside of the United States that has made a distinguished contribution to the protection and promotion of human rights. The ACLU awards the medal in other years to defenders in the United States.
